The avian home

I spotted this in Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal. Thank you Sushant Patnaik, for helping finding it's name. It is called a Wooly Necked Stork (Ciconia Episcopus).

enchanting NE :)

The trip to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, with my friends will always be memorable. It was a well placed required break from mumbai's hassled life. And the sights were just equally enchanting - you really do not feel the pain of the long tiring road journeys if at the end of it, you are greeted with a view as this....

Tree-top Grooming ....

at Jurong Bird park, Singapore

Intricacy .....

I saw these paintings in the colourful street-market of chinatown, singapore. These glass balls have an opening and artists paint the insides with such beautiful folk lore renditions. The paint brush is also unique for this, with bent upper part.
quite intricate indeed...

Water-splashed landscape

Splendid highway, lush green vegetation on the sides, and you are zipping past this amazing sight on your vehicle....
hey, slow down... the clouds have just opened up and your windscreen gets drummed with the heavy drops. Your speed reduces to a crawl, you turn on the fog-lights. The driver may be cursing, but you, in the passenger seat, can now see a magical canvas unfold right in-front of you. The clear sharp green trees now become blurred. What you now see is what appears as a water-splashed painting.

I remember my childhood games...

We always tend to return to our childhood memories when we see kids playing. Just their simple innocent laughter is enough to open the memories floodgates.
I came across these children on the road to Tawang, Arunachal. They were having a great time, and my friends & I just blended in with them.
btw, this is my friend Ravi playing with the kids....
