Flycatcher


This is the Red Breasted Flycather, commonly breeding in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It is migratory and is found in South Asia in winters. I found this bird at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai. For details on this tiny bird can be found here.

Paddybird


Indian Pond Heron or Paddybird (info) is a very common sight among marshlands, water bodies, grass fields across Indian Subcontinent. It appears to have a thick neck when perched since it is always hunched. It changes its plumage to a more dull grey while breeding

Spotted Owlets

Spotted Owlets spotted!  Caught these two owlets on camera at the Taj Gardens, Taj Mahal. They were quite playful - patiently perched, not moving at all, but still following my camera with their eyes.
